Apply sealant 99000-31110 on the interfaced surface of a case and a head of the cylinder.

Apply sealant 99000-31110 on the shaded part.

The rotating inhaling moment.

Not to reuse.

Apply engine oil on the sliding surface of each part.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Disconnect a negative cable from the accumulator.
    Remove the lock of a cowl of the engine (1) from the top forward detail.
    Remove a radiator, having addressed the Section Radiator in the Head Okhlazhdeniye of the engine. Take off a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism, having addressed the Section Belt of the Drive of the Gas-distributing Mechanism and the tension device for a belt in this Chapter.
    Remove a pulley of a belt of the gas-distributing mechanism of a cam-shaft (1), using the special tool. Special tool (A): 09917-68221.
    Uncover a cylinder head, having addressed the Section Cover of a Head of Cylinders in this Chapter. Disconnect the coupling of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft and remove the case of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft (2) from a cylinder head. Substitute a container or enclose a rug under the case of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft as during dismantle a small amount of oil follows from the case.

    After all lock-nuts of the adjusting screw of valves (2) are untwisted, turn adjusting screws (1) to capacity back in order that all yokes (3) could move freely.
    Remove a case of a cam-shaft and a cam-shaft.

To remove cam-shaft case bolts, turn off them in the small portions.


    Remove a cap of an axis of yokes (1) and an internal cover of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (2).
    Remove an inlet yoke (1) with a clip (2) from an axis of yokes (3).

Do not bend a clip when you remove an inlet yoke.

    Remove bolts of an axis of yokes (1).

    Remove the end of an axis of yokes towards the case of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft and remove the Au-shaped ring (2) from axis (1).
    Remove yokes on release (1) and a spring of a yoke (2), having pulled an axis of yokes forward.

Check

Adjusting screw and yoke

If edges of the adjusting screw (1) are strongly worn-out, replace it. The yoke (2) has to be replaced if the working surface of a cam (3) is strongly worn-out.

Wear of an axis of yokes

Using V blocks and the dial indicator, check wear. If wear exceeds admissible norms, replace an axis of yokes. Standards of wear of an axis of yokes — 0.20 mm (0.008 inches).

Gap between a yoke and an axis of yokes

Using a micrometer and a kruglomer, measure diameter of an axis of yokes and internal diameter of a yoke. The difference between two indicators makes a gap between a yoke and an axis which norms are specified. If norms are exceeded, replace an axis or a yoke, or both.

    norm: 15.996 – 16.014 mm (0.6298 – 0.6304 inches)

    norm: 15.969 – 15.984 mm (0.6287 – 0.6292 inches)

Gap between a yoke and an axis of yokes

    norm: 0.012 – 0.045 mm (0.0005 – 0.0017 inches) limit: 0.09 mm (0.0035 inches)

Wear of a cam

Using micromeasures, measure cam height. If the measured height is lower than norm, replace a cam-shaft.

Wear of a cam-shaft

Place a cam-shaft between two "V" blocks, and measure wear, using the dial indicator. If wear surpasses norms, replace a cam-shaft. Standard of wear of a cam-shaft — 0.10 mm (0.0039 inches).

Wear of a neck of a cam-shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check necks of a cam-shaft and cases of a cam-shaft regarding corrosion, scratches, wear or damage. If some malfunction is found, replace a cam-shaft or a head of the cylinder with a case. Never replace a cylinder head without replacement of a case.
    Check a gap, using plaster plaster solution. This procedure is as follows. Wash up a case and necks of a cam-shaft. Establish a cam-shaft on a cylinder head. Put a part of plaster plaster solution on the full width of a neck of a cam-shaft (parallel to a cam-shaft). Establish a cam-shaft case, having addressed item 7 of the procedure of installation.
    Fix cam-shaft case bolts in such order as it is specified in the drawing in the small portions until they are completely fastened to the specified rotating moment. The rotating inhaling moment: a bolt of a case of a cam-shaft (a) — 11 N • m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 pound on foot).

Do not rotate a cam-shaft while plaster plaster solution lies.


    Remove a case and, using a large-scale ruler (2) on the surface of plaster plaster solution (1), measure width of plaster plaster solution in the widest place.
      Cam-shaft neck gap:
        norm: 0.040 – 0.082 mm (0.0016 – 0.0032 inches) limit: 0.12 mm (0.0047 inches)
    If the measured gap of a neck of a cam-shaft goes beyond norms, measure diameter of the chiseled opening of a neck (case) and external diameter of a neck of a cam-shaft. Replace a cam-shaft or knot of a head of the cylinder depending on where the divergence with norms is more.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Oil engine an axis of yokes and a yoke.
    Establish an axis of yokes, a yoke (the party on release) (2) and a spring of a yoke (1).
    Insert a new Au-shaped ring (2) on an axis of yokes from transmission into the Au-shaped trench for a ring in an axis of yokes (1).
    Establish an axis of yokes so that its detachable part watched down, in parallel (1) the interfaced head cover surfaces.
    Insert bolts of an axis of yokes and fasten them to the specified rotating moment. The rotating inhaling moment: a bolt of an axis of yokes (a) — 11 N • m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 pound on foot).
    Pour a small amount of engine oil in the fixing part of the hinge of the shaking lever (3) axes of yokes. Insert a yoke (the party on an admission) (1) with clips (2) into an axis of yokes.
    Apply engine oil on cams and necks on a cam-shaft and put a cam-shaft on a cylinder head. Establish a cam-shaft case on a cam-shaft and a head of the cylinder. Apply engine oil on the sliding surface of each case against a cam-shaft neck. Apply sealant on the interfaced surface of a case No. 6 of a cam-shaft (3) which will be interfaced to a cylinder head. "And" sealant: 99000 – 31110.

2 — the party of a flywheel
    On each case of a cam-shaft there are stamped marks specifying situation and the direction for installation. Establish a case as it is specified on these marks.
And — Points to situation from a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism. Establish in a digital order, since the party of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
In — Points to the direction of a case. Establish as it is specified by an arrow towards a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
    As the case of a cam-shaft No. 1 holds a cam-shaft in the necessary situation, as for the direction of axial pressure, be convinced that at first the case No. 1 on a cam-shaft neck No. 1 is reliably established.
    Having oiled case bolts engine, twirl them at first temporarily. Then fasten them, observing the sequence specified in the drawing. Twist bolts in gradually small portions and evenly, and repeat the sequence of twisting 3 – 4 times before they are fastened to the specified rotating moment. The rotating inhaling moment: a bolt of a case of a cam-shaft (a) — 11 N • m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 pound on foot).
    Put a new oil sealant of a cam-shaft (1). Having oiled engine an edge of an oil sealant, densely press an oil sealant of a cam-shaft, adjusting until its end face is not drowned aflush with a case surface.
    Establish a cap of an axis of yokes and an internal cover of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism. Then fasten a cap of an axis of yokes to the specified rotating moment. The rotating inhaling moment: a cap of an axis of yokes (a) — 33 N • m (3.3 kg-m, 24.0 pound on foot).
    Establish a pulley of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism of a cam-shaft (1) in a cam-shaft, having inserted a pin (2) into the opening on a cam-shaft noted by the tag "Е".
    Fasten a pulley bolt to the specified rotating moment by means of the special tool.
      The rotating inhaling moment:
        bolt of a pulley of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism of a cam-shaft (a) — 60 N • m (6.0 kg-m, 43.5 pound on foot)  
      Special tool (A): 09917-68221
    Install the tension device for a belt, a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism, an external cover, a pulley of the crankshaft and a belt of the water pump, having addressed the Section Belt of the Drive of the Gas-distributing Mechanism and the tension device for a belt in this Chapter and the Belt of the cooling fan in the Head Okhlazhdeniye of the engine. After putting sealant on part "A", install the case of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft on a cylinder head, and fasten its fixing bolts to the specified rotating moment. Attach the coupling of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft. "And" sealant: 99000-31110. The rotating inhaling moment: a bolt of the case of the sensor of provision of a cam-shaft (a) — 11 N • m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 pound on foot).

    Adjust a valvate gap, having addressed the Section the Valvate gap in this Chapter. Establish a cylinder head cover. Establish a radiator and fill the cooling system, having addressed the Sections Radiator and Washing and filling of the cooling system in the Head Okhlazhdeniye of the engine.
    Put the lock of a cowl (1) on the top forward detail and adjust position of the lock.
    Fill with And/T liquid, having addressed the Section Liquid Replacement in the Head the Automatic transmission (4 A/T). Connect a negative cable to the accumulator. Having finished installation, check whether antifreeze or And/T liquid (for the And/T models) on each connection leaks. Make sure that installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition or injection of fuel conforms to technical requirements, having addressed to the Head Dvigateli.
