Replacement

Remove a console box and lift transmission lever casings No. 2 and No. 3 as it is described in the Head the Mechanical transmission (type 1), in the Section Gear Shifting Lever.
Remove a casing No. 2 (4) of the lever of transfers, disconnect wires on the transfer case to release it, and extend a fitting (1).
Replace the switch of the four-wheel drive (3) and connect as was originally. Moment of an inhaling (a): 20 N • m (2.0 kg-m, 14.5 pounds feet).

Turn on the ignition switch, switch the gear shifting lever to situation 4WD (four-wheel drive) and check that the indicator burned. After check switch off the switch.

- At removal and installation of the switch be accurate that dust did not get in the transmission.
- Do not forget to establish a clip on wires which are located so that they are not visible.
- It is recommended to work with a gear shifting lever casing No. 1 from the lower access when the car is lifted.

Check
|

Disconnect a clip and a fitting of the switch of the four-wheel drive.
Operation of the switch (2) switchings of the four-wheel drive can be checked.

On these contacts there has to be a conductivity when the lever of switching is switched to situation 4H and 4L.
Upon completion of check connect a fitting and a clip of wires as was originally.

When replacing the switch be accurate that dust did not get to transfer through a switch opening. |
